1) Counseling generally aims to solve problems by understanding what happened in the past. Coaching is almost exclusively future-focused. 2) To counsel means to give advice. Coaches do not give advice – instead they use various techniques to facilitate the process of an individual finding the best path for themselves. If you are looking for somewhere to simply vent about your past or your circumstances then you will likely waste your money on a coach.

The most basic difference is in what these professions do. Therapists assess, diagnose, and treat mental illness. As such, therapists often focus their work on identifying and reducing symptoms. Coaches motivate and encourage people to achieve specific goals.

Most life coaches working with individuals charge about $200 to $1,000 per month for a 30- to 60-minute call three or four times a month.

My primary objective as a coach is to help women identify the obstacles that continuously get in their way of progress, assist them with finding motivation, and pinpoint any resistance to change. In doing so I will help you discover your potential, restore your integrity, and understand Gods purpose for your life. My job as your coach is to listen to your problems and concerns, teach you different principles and practices for individual success, help you create a plan to provide them to your life and offer any additional resources I feel would be helpful for you and your process.
